Brewing Tips

• Use boiling water to fully release mineral and roasted notes

• Short infusions create smoother and more balanced flavor
• Later infusions reveal deeper sweetness and rock character

Da Hong Pao is best enjoyed slowly, allowing its roasted complexity and lingering mineral finish to unfold through every brew.

Description

Da Hong Pao (大红袍), meaning “Big Red Robe,” is one of China’s most famous and prestigious Wuyi rock teas from Fujian Province. Grown in the mineral-rich cliffs of the Wuyi Mountains, this traditional oolong tea is celebrated for its deep roasted aroma, layered complexity, and signature “rock rhyme” (岩韵).

Carefully crafted through traditional roasting and oxidation techniques, Da Hong Pao delivers a bold yet refined tea experience with rich roasted notes, floral undertones, and a long-lasting finish.

Taste Experience

Da Hong Pao opens with a warm roasted fragrance layered with mineral-rich complexity and subtle floral sweetness. The tea liquor is smooth, full-bodied, and rich, carrying notes of toasted nuts, dark cocoa, and orchid.

As the tea develops through multiple infusions, deeper mineral and roasted characteristics gradually emerge, creating a bold and sophisticated tea experience with a long-lasting finish.
