Description
Lapsang Souchong (正山小种) is one of the world’s oldest black teas, originating from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China. Traditionally crafted in Tongmu Village, this famous Chinese black tea is known for its smooth body, natural sweetness, and rich layered aroma.
Our version follows the modern unsmoked style of Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, focusing on the tea’s natural honeyed sweetness and fruit character rather than heavy pine smoke. The result is a smooth and comforting black tea suitable for both daily enjoyment and slow tea appreciation.
Taste Experience
Lapsang Souchong opens with a warm and comforting aroma followed by smooth layers of honey sweetness, dried fruit notes, and gentle woody character. The tea liquor is rich yet balanced, offering a mellow body with very low harshness.
As the tea develops through multiple infusions, deeper sweetness and fruit complexity gradually emerge, creating a refined and soothing tea experience.
